Programs of Study

When it comes to being a music major, you have two degree options -- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Music. The Bachelor of Arts degree, with majors in music or music education, will give you a strong liberal arts education, with about one-third of your coursework in music.

If you decide to pursue the Bachelor of Music degree about two-thirds of your coursework will be in music. This degree is ideal for those preparing for music graduate school programs or careers in music. Majors leading to a Bachelor of Music degree include education, instrumental performance, vocal performance and theory. An audition is required for entrance into the Bachelor of Music degree program.

You may also minor in music.
