1957
Barbara (Jones) Colhapp, Chaska, Minn., was named Carver County Senior Volunteer of the Year by the Carver County Fair Board, Waconia.
1958
Annette (Ellefson) '59 and Lou Hermansen, Roseau, Minn., were honored at the Minnesota State Fair as Outstanding Senior Citizen Volunteers of the Year for Roseau County; Annette also was named woman runner-up for the state award.
1962
Joseph Gadberry, Overland Park, Kan., was named to the Wall of Honor at Johnson County Community College for outstanding performance during his employment at the college.
1967
Paul Harrington, Rosemount, Minn., was honored with the Award of Excellence from the Associated Church Press for his commentary in the Metro Lutheran.
1975
Dale Stensgaard, Grand Forks, N.D., won first place in the headline category for the 12,001 or more circulation division of the North Dakota Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper Contest.
1978
Roxanne (Gerdes) Kremer, Wilmont, Minn., was named Education Minnesota Worthington Teacher of the Year for 2012 by Education Minnesota Worthingon. Jeannie (Larson) Pederson, Glenwood, Minn., was honored with the Region IV Minnesota Social Service Association Distinguished Service Award and the MSSA State Outstanding Staff Achievement Award by MSSA.

Deborah (Froehlich) Essen, Victor, Mont., was inducted into the Montana Circle of American Masters in Folk and Traditional Art by the Montana Arts Council.
1983
Sheri (Booms) Holm, Fergus Falls, Minn., was named 2012 Woman of the Year by the Fergus Falls American Association of University Women.
1987
Anne (Bunde) Ylvisaker, Monterey, Calif., won the Children’s Picture Book Award from the Midwest Independent Publishers Association, St. Paul, Minn., for her book “Welcome, Child of God” (Augsburg Fortress).
1996
Joshua Buchholz, Moorhead, was named 2012 Executive of the Year by the American Association of Professional Baseball.
2006
Becky Sallberg, Fargo, N.D., was named Exceptional Caregiver in Assisted Living by Care Providers of Minnesota; she was nominated by Serenity Assisted Living, Dilworth, Minn.
2008
Michelle (Bar) Richards, Roy, Utah, received the 2012 Oregon Academy of Family Physicians Outstanding Fourth-Year Graduating Senior Entering a Family Residency Award; she is a family medicine resident at McKay-Dee Hospital Center, Ogden.
2011
Brian Watkins, Fargo, N.D., was awarded the Fulbright Binational Business Grant to Mexico.
