Cornheads

Cousins Tyler Nolan, 7, son of Jan (Larsen) Nolan ’86, and Trent Johnson, 8, son of Lisa (Lidahl) Johnson ’89, tried corn headwear on for size while shopping at the Cobber Bookstore.

Better With Age

Former members of the 1993-94 Temple Band at Concordia held a reunion by leading the worship at First Lutheran Church, Columbia Heights, Minn., where Amy (Bruget) Orstad ’95 (front row center), Shoreview, Minn., is associate pastor. The group quickly remembered their repertoire and agreed their performance was even stronger than 15 years ago. Front row (l-r): Kari Bailey ’96, St. Louis Park, Minn., and Missy (Denison) Habeck ’97, Columbia Heights. Back row: Paul Hetland ’94, Bloomington, Minn.; Bob Drobinski ’95, St. Michael, Minn.; Steve Orstad ’94, Shoreview; Brian Grove ’95, Minneapolis; and Wayne Boerger ’93, Savage, Minn.

In Touch by Round Robin

These 1955 graduates gathered for their 55th reunion at Homecoming 2010. They have kept a round-robin letter going since graduation. (l-r): Gloria (Nielsen) Ellefson, Ruth (Mandsager) Peterson, Helen (Hansen) Lindenberger, Connie (Kanten) Dahlstrom, Naomi (Larsen) Rice, Marliss (Braaten) Myran and Carolyn (Orrok) Narveson

Class Notes Policy

Because of space restrictions, we confine our class notes to news happening within the past six months. We use only firsthand alumni information, and mailed class notes require a signature. We do not accept announcements of upcoming marriage or acceptance to graduate school; please submit following the wedding or graduation. Memorials should be sent in by family, with an obituary if possible. Submit class notes online at www.ConcordiaCollege.edu/alumniupdate.

Photographs for the class notes section of Concordia Magazine may be e-mailed to alumnote@cord.edu. Pictures must be accompanied by the month and year the photograph was taken and a list of those in the photo (including maiden names), their grad years, and cities and states of residence. Children of graduates should be pictured in Concordia clothing. E-mailed photos should be taken in at least 300 dpi resolution in TIFF or JPEG formats.

Submission of photos does not guarantee publication. Class notes and photographs may also be mailed to: Class Notes, Communications and Marketing, Concordia College, 901 8th St. S., Moorhead, MN 56562. Deadline for the next issue is Sept. 1, 2011.
