Danielle “Else-Anna” Bolme ’14, Lakeville, Minn., can't imagine a summer without Skogfjorden.
"A summer without Skogfjorden for me is unthinkable," she says.
Bolme is a second-year staff member at Skogfjorden, the Norwegian Language Village, and the Villages is her second home.
Bolme was a camper for 10 years and, this year, she was pleased to watch her little brother receive his 10-year award at International Day.
Bolme coordinated the details of International Day on July 8 and Aug. 12 for Skogfjorden as a part of her internship at the Villages. On International Day, the various Villages gather at one site to celebrate language and cultural immersion.
Her internship experience, coupled with her elementary education and Scandinavian studies majors, will help her to meet her career goal of becoming an elementary teacher in Norway someday.
