Cobber Spotlight
Sam Johnson '11
Fargo, N.D.
Fargo North HS
Math Education

Sam JohnsonSam is one of the most decorated and accomplished players in program history. She became the school’s first All-American in 2009 and was named the MIAC Most Valuable Player in 2009 as well. To top things off, she was selected as one of two ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Americans last year and carries a 3.64 GPA while majoring in Math Education.

The biggest highlight of her career at Concordia is getting to compete with players that were archrivals in high school.

“One of the best things about playing at Concordia was getting the chance to make friends from my former foes. I fought against several of my Cobber teammates in high school for state championships and now they are my best friends and the teammates I count on the most to help us reach our goals at Concordia.”

The Concordia women’s soccer team has players from six different states on the roster.
