Women's Cross Country

In the highly competitive MIAC, Cobber women’s distance runners work hard to improve their conference ranking. The Cobbers always seem to be in a group of five teams that are all bunched in the middle of the MIAC and if one of those can have a breakout meet, then they can position themselves for an outstanding top five finish.

The Cobbers have posted wins in multi-team meets in two of the past three seasons. Concordia head coach Marv Roeske led the 2000 CC cross country team to a second-place finish in the MIAC and a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Central Region Meet which qualified the team for the NCAA National Meet. It was only the second time in school history that the women's cross country team qualified for the national meet. He was voted the MIAC women's cross country Coach of the Year for the 2000 season.
