Men's Hockey

The Cobber men’s hockey team steadily improved in the first three years head coach Chris Howe which culminated in an MIAC playoff berth in 2011 and a trip to the conference title game. Concordia went from winning only one game four seasons ago to a 12-win campaign in 2010-11. Howe and the Cobbers reaped the rewards of the banner season in 2011. He was named the MIAC Coach of the Year and six CC players earned postseason honors. Defenseman Erick Galt went on to become the first Concordia All-American since 2003.

The Fargo-Moorhead area is one of the top hockey regions in the state and the 2011 Hockey Day in Minnesota was broadcast live from the Moorhead Youth Rink. The Cobbers play in the spacious Moorhead Sports Center which is one of the top rinks in the conference.
