The Cobber men's cross country team continues to focus on strengthening the overall depth of the team as they compete in one of the toughest cross country conference in the nation. Over the years the Cobbers have produced several outstanding individual performances. The top MIAC Championship Meet finish for Concordia came in 1999 when the team finished in fourth place. In 2010 Tom Sederquist became one of the few athletes from the MIAC to ever win the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.

Concordia head Garrick Larson has a long history in the sport and is one of the most tenured coaches in the conference . He has been at the helm of the Cobbers since 1997.
