Alumni Board

Kiaja Morgenthaler

Greetings Fellow Cobbers,

We just finished a fabulous week home at Concordia to “Ignite the Tradition” of being a Cobber and celebrate the unique Homecoming that only Concordia can do so well. The National Alumni Board also convened for our annual fall meetings and hosted several events throughout the weekend.

One of our privileges as a Board is selecting the Alumni Achievement Award winners, who were honored at this year’s Homecoming Banquet; Dr. James Jaranson ’69, Rev. David Johnson ’64; Dr. Olaf Storaasli ’64; and Gloria Monson ’58. If you have anyone that you would like to nominate for this prestigious award, please contact the alumni office or email alumni@cord.edu.

Last year the National Alumni Board created a brand new award recognizing the accomplishments of young alumni. The “Sent Forth” award will honor alumni who graduated in the last 20 years. We are also looking for outstanding nominations for this award, so please send any names of alumni you would like to nominate to the alumni office.

Our three new committees (Communications, Community Connections & Campus Connections) have been working tirelessly over the past year. We hope to have some exciting updates to report very soon.

The Alumni Office is continuously planning events all over the country. If you are interested in planning an event in your area, contact alumni@cord.edu for you own starter kit.

It is a pleasure working with the passionate and dedicated members of the National Alumni Board, who are working very hard on behalf of the college and alumni. Thank you to our entire board and the alumni office staff for the hours, passion and energy put into our alma mater.

Soli Deo Gloria

Kiaja Morgenthaler
President, National Alumni Board.
