Greetings fellow Cobbers,
With graduation behind us, I am excited to touch base with you on some exciting opportunities for Cobber alumni and friends. The National Alumni Board recently completed its spring meeting and I would like to use this column to bring you up to date on what's happening.
At the recent meeting the board divided itself into 3 committees working on the following areas: Communications, Campus Connection and Community Connection. The committees are working hard and have some exciting ideas that will be forthcoming.
One of the primary responsibilities of the National Alumni Board is to select the Alumni Achievement Award winners. At the meeting, the decision was made and we will be announcing the recipients of this prestigious award shortly. We will honor these individuals at the Homecoming Banquet on Friday, Oct. 16th .
The Alumni office has been working hard to provide you with many opportunities in the upcoming months. Please consider attending a corn feed that will be coming to a city near you. There are also various golf tournaments on the calendar. Homecoming looks to be a tremendous event you will not want to miss. Please feel free to call the alumni office on any questions you may have on the upcoming events.
I am extremely grateful for the passion all of our National Alumni Board members have for our college. They work hard on your behalf and are terrific ambassadors. I also want to say a huge thank you to the staff in the alumni office. They are the best.
Soli Deo Gloria
Tim Siegle
President, National Alumni Board.
