The Perfect Location

Exceptional Programs
No matter which of our 78 majors or 12 preprofessional programs you choose, you’ll be taught by nationally recognized faculty —NASA scientists, award-winning composers and published experts on world religion. They’ll involve you in their research —or even help you launch your own—and become your lifelong mentors.

Concordia students have achieved an 88 percent acceptance rate into medical school (in 10 years surveyed) and 93 percent of Concordia grads who apply get into law school. In fact, 96 percent of our surveyed alumni land jobs in their field or are enrolled in graduate school within six months of receiving their diploma.

International Focus
Today’s most sought-after careers require fluency in more than one language and a working knowledge of our increasingly connected and interdependent world. That’s why every course of study at Concordia includes a significant global perspective. We’re proud to have earned the 2006 Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization.

More than half (54 percent) of our students study abroad; that’s 25 times the national average. To feed that hunger for travel and exploration, our expert faculty have developed unique weeklong Exploration Seminars and month-long May Seminars that combine intense classroom preparation with life-changing journeys to Europe, Asia, Africa and everywhere in between. Some students choose semester- or year-long programs such as Social Justice, Peace and Development in India or People and the Environment in Central America that delve deep into the history and culture of a country or entire region.

Back on campus, you can choose from eight languages and majors in global studies and international business. And our world-famous Concordia Language Villages serves as a one-of-a-kind learning and retreat center. Current Concordia students get real-world preparation for their careers at the Villages. They also help train the next generation of global citizens in full-immersion summer or weekend language courses.

Commitment to Service
As a Lutheran college welcoming to students of all faiths, it is Concordia’s mission to prepare well-rounded young men and women for a life of leadership and service.

We encourage all of our students to put their faith into meaningful action through service to the community. That’s why Concordia was selected by the John Templeton Foundation as one of America’s “top character-building colleges.”

Perfect Place
Fargo-Moorhead is a thriving college town with more than 23,000 students, 250 restaurants, 31 movie screens, museums, operas, concerts, professional sports teams and loads of shopping. The Los Angeles Times even called us “stylish.”

Both “Money” and “Forbes” magazines placed the “other twin cities” in their top 10 United States destinations to get a job or start a new business. That translates into 400 internships a year for Concordia students and perhaps the perfect job at graduation. Not only is Fargo-Moorhead an economic powerhouse, we’re also one of the 25 safest cities in America.
