Transfer of Credits
Concordia has an excellent track record of accepting transfer credits, but to be certain credits will transfer you need to have an official transcript evaluation from our
Registrar.
When applying to Concordia, you will need to request transcripts be sent from all colleges and universities you have attended. These are also necessary for the evaluation of transferable credits. This evaluation will also give you a clear idea on where you stand in relation to our graduation requirements.
A helpful tool for transfer students is the
transfer notebook. It allows you to enter the name of the school you are transferring credits from and see what courses have typically transferred to Concordia.
Here are some general guidelines we follow that might be helpful until your transcript is formally evaluated.
- All courses equivalent to courses we offer will transfer.
- Courses that we do not offer will transfer as elective credit.
- Only grades of C- or higher will transfer.
- A course credit at Concordia is comparable to four semester hours and six quarter hours. To graduate you need 31 1/2 courses.
