For advice on career decisions or help applying for a job, contact the Career Center. Our staff are well-versed in helping students sort through their interests and strengths, apply for internships through the Cooperative Education Office and interview for that exciting first job.
Student Advising
For help with deciding on a major and selecting classes, contact your faculty adviser. Our student advising program will give you plenty of opportunities to meet with your adviser to discuss your career plans, educational goals, class schedule and other academic issues. You’ll also find your adviser to be helpful at other times during the year when you just need a little extra advice.
Academic Tutoring
For help with your coursework, visit the Academic Enhancement Center. Our staff are eager to assist you with one-on-one counseling by professional staff, along with peer tutoring in specific subjects. Our academic counselors can help assess your study skills and learning style, and work with you to make your academic time most effective.
You might also check with your class professor or department for additional tutoring or assistance opportunities. Many students also meet outside of class times for study groups.
Writing Improvement
For help with your academic papers, from essays to research papers, make an appointment at the Writing Center. Thanks to one-on-one tutoring, you’ll quickly learn how to improve your papers and your overall writing skills.
