Special Opportunities

Concordia presents multiple involvement opportunities for women's studies students, including the Concordia Feminist Majority Alliance, Tri-College Women-in-Action Conference, NEW Women's Leadership Institute, Red River Valley Women's Studies Conference, the Program's internship, and even outlets in Concordia Theatre.

There are also opportunities for community involvement, including volunteering at the YWCA, Planned Parenthood and the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center.

The program also has strong ties to organizations on campus like the Straight and Gay Alliance, the Office of Intercultural Affairs, and faculty and interns help plan Concordia's Safe Space Training.

It is also important to note that the program has annually attends the Red River Valley Women's Studies Conference. Students and faculty are able to submit papers to present or even elect to be on a panel.
