Why Study Spanish and Hispanic Studies at Concordia?
One of the largest departments at Concordia, Spanish and Hispanic studies is home to countless opportunities for developing your Spanish language skills and getting out in the world to use them. Concordia’s is one of the few Spanish departments that requires every Spanish student to study abroad for at least a semester. As either a Spanish or Spanish education major at Concordia, you’ll benefit from many international opportunities, retreats and jobs at the Concordia Language Villages, and an active Spanish club and Spanish house on campus.All of our faculty are either native speakers or have international experience, and are dedicated to giving you the best education possible. They will encourage you to study abroad and serve in Spanish-speaking countries or get involved in Spanish activities on campus. They have a variety of skills and talents to help you develop yours. Hone your Spanish writing skills with a published author, study with a journalist from Mexico and practice your Spanish with native assistants from Argentina and Colombia.
