Social Work

Prepare for a career as a licensed social worker, while reaping the benefits of a liberal arts education. Our social work program will equip you with the knowledge and experience to make a profound impact on the lives of others. Thanks to the small department size, you’ll receive early advising (as early as your freshman year) and close mentoring (once you’re admitted to the program as a sophomore).

Concordia's social work program prepares competent and effective social work professionals to promote human and community well-being. They do this by confronting disadvantage through a framework of scientific inquiry and human rights, favoring undervalued persons and providing conditions of hope, leading to individual and social change. Social work students pursue these outcomes through educational curriculum, faculty and student scholarship, community service and clinical experiences.

Concordia’s social work program offers one major:
•    Major in Social Work
