How to Prepare
Cooperative Education
Cooperative education experiences provide an opportunity to work in an applied setting. Students have been placed in psychiatric wards in area hospitals (Prairie St. Johns, MeritCare), worked with day-treatment facilities for chronically mentally ill, placed in child-care programs, and a variety of other settings.
Co-ops allow you to gauge your interest in a certain area and provide faculty an opportunity to evaluate you in a different setting. For more information, contact the office of Cooperative Education.
