Health Professions

Health professions at Concordia College offer preparation for nine professional programs.
Concordia has the perfect program for you with small class sizes and professors who have practiced professionally in a number of health professions. Each of the programs is infused with a liberal arts core curriculum. With an 88 percent acceptance rate into medical school (in 10 years surveyed), a Concordia education prepares you for success. See where some Cobbers have gone on to study.

Most students major in biology or chemistry—both programs offer honors majors—but any major is possible. We also offer a unique Health Professions Advisory Committee made up of three professors who work with you all four years to complete the committee evaluation for your professional school applications. Mentor with health professionals, dissect a human cadaver and travel abroad in places such as Kenya, Tanzania and the Galapagos Islands.

Each of the health professions program specialities have similar basic requirements; therefore, you’ll have the opportunity to explore multiple career options before making a final decision. Common prerequisite courses include:
  • At least 8 credits in biology
  • 16 credits in chemistry
  • 4 or 8 credits in mathematics
  • 8 credits in physics
