Why Study Political Science at Concordia?
With a major in political science from Concordia you’ll work and study side-by-side with published and highly dedicated faculty. Study constitutional law with our prelaw adviser, explore U.S. politics with the chair of department, or global studies with an author of a book about the United Nations. Learn from the experience of a former Minnesota legislator or explore the growing field of environmental politics with an activist and lobbyist. Our faculty have presented at top conferences in their field. One of our professors is also an expert on Chinese politics who lived in China and speaks Mandarin. With the growing influence of China on the U.S. economy and government, Concordia has what you need to enter the competitive global marketplace.
All of our professors are ready and eager to help you find your interests – whether it be law, international politics, environmental politics, social justice and human rights or business. They will encourage you to participate in one or all of the exciting opportunities Concordia offers outside the classroom. These include our Semester in Washington, D.C., “Politics, Power and Policy” May Seminar in Europe, fascinating internships, and nationally recognized forensics and Mock Trial programs.
