Accelerated Nursing
This accelerated program is an 18-month course leading to a major in nursing for students who have already completed a baccalaureate degree. Upon completion of the program, the graduate is eligible to take the nursing board examination and become a licensed registered nurse (RN).
To be accepted into the accelerated program, students must apply to the college by Jan. 15 before the start of the program in May. Admission is competitive and is based on GPA (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 required), baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution, completion of pre-requisite courses (one semester of chemistry, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, general psychology, general sociology, developmental psychology and college algebra) submission of the completed application materials, personal references and an impromptu essay.
