According to alumni reports, all students who majored or minored in Norwegian or Scandinavian Studies launched successful professional careers.
Our program also helps many heritage students to strengthen their family ties and learn more about their historical and cultural background. Thanks to Scandinavia's efforts in sustainable energy, peacemaking, global climate change, technology, and more, students become well-informed on the latest hot topics worldwide.
Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the program, it is easy to combine a major or minor in Norwegian or Scandinavian Studies with other academic fields, for example, global studies, international politics, international business, education, theatre, philosophy, psychology, music, women's studies or science.
The faculty in our Norwegian and Scandinavian Studies program all have one thing in common: a passion for what they teach. While studying in this Concordia program, you’ll work with qualified faculty with impressive experience, including a Fulbright Scholar, a published author and the co-chair of environmental studies. We take a personal investment in each student, helping you find ways to explore your academic interests.
