Provide Search Strategies

Demonstrating or describing effective search strategies.

Students, especially those who are new to academic research, are often confused when they are asked to “find an article.” Librarians can create opportunities for students to do hands-on searching in the library's Instruction Lab. Here, we can help them see the differences between academic and non-academic articles, and we can show them how to get to academic articles efficiently. These hands-on sessions can be tailored to meet the specific topic requirements of a class. Please contact your library liaison to discuss ways we can help students develop search strategies.
