Library Tours
The integration of library research with the college's curriculum begins during the orientation to campus in which all first-year students participate. A peer-led tour of the library building and its services illustrates to Concordia's newest students that using the library is an integral part of academic culture and that library staff and reference librarians are approachable and provide entree to a plethora of resources and services.
Upon completing an orientation library tour, first-year students will:
- gain a positive first impression of an academic library
- recognize different service locations and sub-collections within the library
- successfully interact with library personnel
- acquire additional information about the library's important functions (e.g. hours, services, etc.)
