Inquiry Matters
Inquiry Matters: A Student Guidebook for Writing in the Core and Using the Carl B. Ylvisaker Library, was written by Concordia faculty. This book includes helpful information about critical thinking, active reading, field research, argument writing, and much more. Nearly half of the book is dedicated to specific information about Concordia's library, written by our own librarians, so that students can learn how to effectively use the resources available to them. Students use the book in their Inquiry Seminars as well as their IWC classes, but will likely find it very useful in many other courses, too. Inquiry Matters also includes Concordia-specific information such as essay grading criteria, attendance and academic integrity policies, information about academic resources on campus, and more. We believe that Inquiry Matters will provide both students and teachers with the information they need in engaging, efficient, cost-effective ways.
