How Do I Request Articles Not Available at Concordia?

If you have determined that articles you want are not available at Concordia, chances are good that we can get them for you from another library. This service is free to Concordia College students, faculty, and staff.

Getting a magazine, journal, or newspaper article

Most libraries do not lend their magazines, journals, or newspapers. Instead, they usually copy and send us the articles we need. To submit a request:

  1. Start at the library's homepage and choose "Interlibrary Loan" under the Services menu at the top of the page.

  2. Click on the link "Request an article."

  3. Complete the form. Your Barcode number is the 14-digit Library # on your Concordia College ID. Your password is your last name.

  4. The interlibrary loan staff will request the item from the closest possible source, and you will receive an e-mail when the article is available. Some articles come in days, though others can take 2-3 weeks or more.
