The student who is information literate uses information accurately and creatively.

Organizes information for practical application.

Integrates new information into one's own knowledge.

Applies information in critical thinking and problem solving.

Produces and communicates information and ideas in appropriate formats.		 Teach students note-taking skills, such as Trash N Treasure.

Practice outlining and webbing skills.

Require an alternative product or use an Internet tool instead of a report.

Teach students to organize information found, using Inspiration, or another graphic organizer.

Teach correct format for bibliographic citation, using appropriate format for younger students.

Develop rubrics for the project.

Teach the writing process.
