Periodicals: Overdue fines begin accruing when an item is three hours overdue. When a periodical is three hours overdue, a fine of $1 will be charged. An additional $0.50 will be added to the fine each hour until a maximum fine of $10 has accrued. If the periodical is not returned, a fee totaling the cost of replacement will be charged.

Blocked Records

There are many situations that can cause a library record to become blocked. Two common examples are too many overdue materials and excessive fines. If your card becomes blocked, you will be unable to check out materials, renew materials, place orders for interlibrary loan materials, etc. To determine what has caused the blocked record and to reactivate your library privileges, please visit the Circulation Desk in the library.
