International Business

Offered through the new Concordia College School of Business, the international business major prepares students for careers in global business and exchange. This major combines courses in business, accounting and one global language area: French, German, Spanish, Scandinavian Studies or Russian, with a new program in Chinese now being developed. Additionally, there is an option for students who desire to study and work in an English-speaking country.

The specific coursework is designed for each student's interests and abilities, and there are four specializations to choose from — management, marketing, economics or finance.

An important segment of the program is an internship where students put their language and business skills to practical use. Faculty mentors work closely with students helping them land life-changing internships, such as working for a state tourism agency in Germany, a health care provider in France or a multinational corporation in Mexico City.

The international business major is one of the many strengths of the School of Business, offering a dynamic blend of liberal arts learning and globally immersive business education. Instruction and internships involving top business leaders in a variety of fields gives the program “real world” credibility.
