2011 Symposium
Concurrent Sessions
Concurrent Sessions will last one hour and be repeated once. We will consider two levels of proposals: those that provide opportunities for artists to create, refine, perform and exhibit their work; and proposals by academics, organizations, or others who can reflect on the role of the artist in society. We expect that creative artists will both perform/present their artistry and reflect upon it in relation to the themes. In your proposal, please indicate which category would most closely match your performance/presentation: Visual Arts and Film Media, Performing Arts (theatre, music, dance), Literary Arts (literature, storytelling, journalism), Arts Beyond the Box (business, government, science, etc.).
Concurrent session proposals should be sent to Dr. Dawn Duncan at duncan@cord.edu. Proposals are due by March 15, 2011. Selection will be completed by May 30, 2011.
