2006 Campus Weekend Visiting Authors

The 2006 Campus Weekend featured readings and master classes by finalists Rajiv Chandrasekaran and Ben Lerner.

Chandrasekaran was a finalist in nonfiction for his first book, “Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Iraq’s Green Zone.” He lives in Washington, D.C., and is an assistant managing editor of The Washington Post, where he has worked since 1994. Chandrasekaran previously worked at the Post as a bureau chief in Baghdad, Cairo and southeast Asia, along with correspondent work as he covered the war in Afghanistan.

Lerner was a finalist in poetry for his second book, “Angle of Yaw.” A native of Topeka, Kan., Lerner is a former Fulbright Scholar in Spain and co-founded and co-edits “No: a journal of the arts.” He lives in Berkeley, Calif., and teaches at California College of the Arts.
