Bastion works directly with the dean to maintain his daily schedule, files and projects. She coordinates all faculty evaluation, promotion and tenure files and sabbatical information. She prepares materials for meetings with the board of regents, faculty senate and other committees as needed by the dean, maintains committee lists and various Academic Affairs calendars, and coordinates the dean’s list mailings and summer faculty mailings.

Hoverson serves as the primary contact at the front desk and on the phone. She schedules meetings and provides administrative assistance to division chairs, Rebecca Amundsen and Bruce Vieweg. She maintains the Academic Affairs web pages and generates faculty Cobweb announcements. She also coordinates academic events such as fall workshop, Opening Convocation, Commencement and Honors Weekend.

Schmidt maintains the faculty database, processes all faculty contracts and assists with faculty searches and the hiring process. She maintains various budgets within academic affairs including faculty development, dean’s travel, centennial grants, summer study and degree completion grants. She also coordinates catalog changes, summer workshops and summer school pay requests and provides administrative assistance to Kay Schneider.
