Concordia College has a strong reputation in the sciences and recruits many students interested in pursuing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) major. In an effort to help more of these students graduate with a science or math major, several new initiatives have begun at Concordia College. All of the programs and strategies supported by our STEP funding focus on improving the experience for first-year science and math majors. They include implementing more student-focused pedagogy in several first year courses and providing high impact experiences such as research opportunities for undergraduate students.
