Call for Proposals: 2009-2010 Faculty Colloquium Series

Faculty in all disciplines are encouraged to submit proposals for the 2009-2010 academic year.  The Faculty Colloquium Series offers an opportunity for faculty to gather as an academic community and to present scholarly projects and research with colleagues.

Faculty Colloquiums will be scheduled on Tuesday afternoons, 4:30-5:30 p.m., in Birkeland Alumni Lounge.  Presentations should be 40 minutes maximum with 20 minutes allowed for a Q&A session.

Faculty presenters will receive a $150.00 honorarium.  If more than one faculty member presents in any one session, the honorarium will be pro-rated accordingly.

The available dates are:

• Tuesday, November 10
• Tuesday, January 19
• Tuesday, February 2
• Tuesday, April 6

Please submit all proposals electronically to Paul Seifert.  Be sure to include the title of your presentation, a one-paragraph description, and your first and second choice of date from the dates listed above. 

The proposal deadline is Monday, October 12, 2009.  Proposals submitted prior to the Oct. 12 deadline will receive first consideration.  Proposals submitted after the Oct. 12 deadline will be accepted for a date that may remain available.
