Major in Marketing

Requirements for the major in marketing are 48 credits. Students must take foundation courses before required marketing courses or elective marketing courses.

• 20 credits in foundation courses:

– ACCT 155 – Principles of Accounting I, 4 credits

– ACCT 156 – Principles of Accounting II, 4 credits

– ECON 201 – Principles of Economics, 4 credits

– ECON 274 – Introduction to Business and Economic Statistics, 4 credits

– BUS 339 – Principles of Management, 4 credits

• 6 credits in required marketing courses:

– BUS 351 – Principles of Marketing, 4 credits

– BUS 362 – Business Law, 4 credits

– BUS 425 – Ethical Behavior in Business and Organizations, 2 credits

• At least 6 credits in the following elective marketing courses:

– BUS 352 – Selling Today, 2 credits

– BUS 363 – Marketing on the Internet, 2 credits

– BUS 451 – International Marketing, 4 credits

– BUS 453 – Consumer Behavior, 4 credits
