About the Offutt School of Business
The Offutt School of Business is an undergraduate business program grounded in the liberal arts and focused on four critical skills: global understanding, entrepreneurship, ethics and leadership. Built on a strong tradition that prepared leaders in the fields of healthcare management, accounting and economics, the Offutt School of Business offers majors in business, international business and accounting with concentrations in economics, finance, healthcare administration, marketing and organizational leadership.
The Offutt School of Business is named for Ronald Offutt '64, an alumnus who donated the lead gift for the business school. As founder and chairman of the R.D. Offutt Company, the cornerstone of his operation is a 12-state farming enterprise covering 190,000 acres. He is the largest producer of potatoes in the country. The company also operates food processing manufacturing plants and a dairy operation. Offutt’s RDO Equipment Co. owns the largest network of John Deere dealerships in the country and internationally has dealerships in Russia, Ukraine and Australia. His success story is grounded in hard work, character, integrity and perseverance.
