Our Graduates

Concordia’s biology students are always up to something exciting. Just stop by the department’s conference room and see for yourself. The room’s giant chalkboard lists all of the students accepted to summer research programs, as well as those headed off to graduate and health profession schools. They’re attending medical schools such as the University of North Dakota, Creighton University, the University of Washington and the University of Minnesota. You’ll find them at dental schools like the University of Nebraska and the University of Minnesota.

While nearly a couple dozen students go off to med school each year, plenty of others enter a wide variety of other fields. Recent Concordia alumni are attending grad school for cancer research, infectious diseases, neuroscience and plant ecology. They’re at the University of Washington, the University of Arizona, the University of California in Irvine and other top schools.

Still others enter the work force after Concordia, like those working for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the Nature Conservancy of North Dakota or a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C. And don’t forget all of those graduates working as teachers, influencing the next generation of great biologists.
