Studio Art

The studio curriculum offers a variety of courses that enable students to develop and improve their artistic abilities. Two and three-dimensional foundations provide introductions to design and the major studio arts. Beginning, intermediate and advanced classes are offered in drawing, painting, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking and photography. Studio students have the opportunity to show their work inthe Annual Juried Student Exhibition and seniors exhibit their work every April in the Student Art Exhibition.

The curriculum in the Department of Art is ever-evolving and aims to enhance and deepen each student's expertise in all areas of art. All courses - including introductory level - are taught by specialists.

Small class sizes ensure a close working relationship with faculty and access to studios and equipment.

The following are the specific studio programs taught at Concordia.
