-Undergraduate credits in drawing and watercolor; University of Minnesota; studied with Judith Roode, Bill Roode

-Workshop: Figure modeling and wax casting workshop with Nancy Bowen from Columbia University, held at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in association with the International Sculpture Center

-Workshop: Patinas for non-ferrous metals; Ron Young, instructor; held at RISD, Providence, RI in association with the International Sculpture Center

-Workshop: Patinas for ferrous metals and aluminum; Ron Young, instructor; held at the Loveland Academy of Art, Loveland, CO

-Workshops: Ceramic shell bronze casting at MSUM taught by Lynne Carlsgaard, Northern State at Aberdeen, SD.  Sand mold bronze casting taught by Butch Jack, Texas sculptor, at MSUM.
