Additional Steps


The Waste Working Group has taken several steps to make Concordia more sustainable:
  • Removing trashcans from dozens of classrooms to promote recycling
  • Sponsoring sustainable move-outs each spring, collecting leftover food and clothing for donation to local food shelves and the Dakota Boy’s Ranch
  • Sponsoring sustainable move-ins each fall, providing additional options for cardboard box recycling
  • Organizing a recycling demonstration in conjunction with the fall 2008 Symposium on climate change
