FALL LEVEL 6: SWIMMING AND SKILL PROFICIENCY
The purpose of these courses is to refine the strokes so students swim with ease, efficiency, power and fluidity over greater distances. A student must pass Level 5 prior to taking any of the Level 6 options. There are two Level 6 options, each with the exact same swimming skills and additional special skills. The major skill in both Level 6 options is swimming 500 yards continuously as follows: 100 yards front crawl, 100 yards elementary backstroke, 50 yards breaststroke, 50 yards backstroke, 50 yards sidestroke, 25 yards butterfly and 125 yards choice.
Personal Water Safety

Capacity: 6 students/1 teachers
The purpose of this course is to develop proficient strokes and safety in the water. The additional skills in this class are pike, tuck and feet-first surface dives, HELP and huddle position with lifejackets, tread water for 5 minutes (2-minute kick only), retrieve brick from 7-10 feet of water, survival float, back float and survival swim for 5 minutes.
