Board of Regents

The Concordia Board of Regents, the governing body of the college, is made up of 26 elected members who serve three-year terms. The board makes decisions on major campus changes – arguably their most important job is the selection of the college president. Board members meet at least twice each year.

Sixteen of the Board of Regents members must be members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, four may be members of Lutheran church bodies other than the ELCA and five others may be members of church bodies other than Lutheran. In addition, at least seven of the members must be ELCA pastors, of whom at least two must be synod bishops. Three members shall be Concordia College alumni, and four should be members of Women of the ELCA.
