Pamela M. Jolicoeur assumed the presidency of Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota in 2004. She came to Concordia following a thirty-two year career at California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, where she served as Provost and Dean of the Faculty from 1996-2004. She was a member of the sociology faculty from 1972-1993 and served as vice president for academic affairs from 1993-1996.
In 2006, Dr. Jolicoeur was one of a select group of American college presidents invited by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings to participate in a summit on international education. In 2007, she was one of 30 college leaders from U.S. and Muslim majority countries invited by the Hollings Center to participate in a conference in Istanbul focused on the elements of a successful university, the development of the "American paradigm" of higher education, and ways to grow and strengthen exchanges between American and Muslim majority colleges and universities. In 2007, Dr. Jolicoeur was invited to make a presentation at a Center for Health, Population and Development Seminar at the Independent University, Bangladesh and to meet with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus at the Grameen Bank Headquarters in Dhaka. She has been instrumental in establishing a student exchange program with the United International College in Zhuhai, China through the Minnesota Private College Council.
Dr. Jolicoeur serves on the boards of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU), Minnesota Public Radio | American Public Media, and the Greater Fargo-Moorhead Economic Development Corporation. Dr. Jolicoeur currently chairs the Board of Directors of the Minnesota Private College Council and sits on the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference presidents executive committee.
