Benefits Open Enrollment

 

Open Enrollment Dates: October 28 - November 16, 2009

IMPORTANT NOTE:  All forms must be received by the Human Resources department on or before 5:00 p.m. on November 16, 2009 in order for benefits to go into effect for the 2010 plan year. There will be no exceptions.  Failure to adhere to this deadline may jeopardize the College's plan status under IRS Section 125.

Open Enrollment for Concordia College employees begins on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 and continues through Monday, November 16, 2009.  This is an opportunity to review your insurance benefits and determine what coverage you would like for the next year.   

In addition to continuing our current health insurance plan at lower premium rates, Concordia is offering another plan choice with BlueCross BlueShield of MN.  We encourage employees to review their plan options to determine what plan works best for them.

Informational meetings will be offered held with representatives from BCBS of MN available to answer questions. Times and dates will be announced.  Also, the Human Resources department will be on hand during these times to meet individually to answer benefit questions and provide paperwork for open enrollment.

If you do not plan to make any changes in Health, Dental, Life or LTD for the upcoming year, then you do not need to take any action during Open Enrollment.  Please note that if you wish to participate in a Flexible Spending Account, you need to re-enroll for 2010 otherwise, you will NOT be participating in 2010.
