Church Partnerships

Concordia College is tied closely to ELCA churches in the region. The college’s Campus Ministry fosters numerous faith-based activities on campus, including Bible studies, service projects, communion and daily chapel. The campus does not offer a Sunday morning service to encourage students, faculty and staff to involve themselves with local churches. And they do – singing in choirs, teaching Sunday school, leading youth groups, playing in worship ensembles, leading Bible studies, planning events, serving the community and more.

Concordia’s Church Relations office strengthens those connections through support and programming, such as the organization of youth events on campus, including summer camps, concerts, speakers and confirmation preparation events.

CHARIS Ecumenical Center, Parish Nurse Center and the Dovre Center for Faith and Learning also serve to help the college community grow in faith, which often means building connections with local ELCA churches.
