Concordia College Regents' Scholarship
Five students will be selected to receive scholarships, covering the entire cost of tuition over four years of enrollment. This is the most prestigious Concordia College scholarship, with a value of more than $120,000. Eligible students must have a cumulative (non-weighted) GPA of at least 3.90 AND a score of 31 or higher on the ACT, or a score of 2,060 or above on the SAT.

Competitive academic scholarships will replace previous scholarship offers.
Presidential Distinction Awards and Faculty Scholarships
Approximately 80 incoming first-year students will be selected as Presidential Scholars, receiving an award totaling $64,000 over four years ($16,000/year). Approximately 160 additional incoming first-year students will be chosen as Faculty Scholars, receiving a four-year award of $60,000 ($15,000/year). Eligible students must have a cumulative (non-weighted) GPA of 3.80 AND a score of 26 or higher on the ACT, or a score of 1,770 or above on the SAT for either award.

National Merit Scholars
National Merit finalists who name Concordia College as their first choice will receive a minimum of $64,000 over four years in scholarships. This total may include funds from Concordia's Regents', Presidential, and Faculty scholarships if the student meets the additional eligibility criteria outlined above.
Excellence Scholarships
The Excellence Scholarship program recognizes student academic achievement. These scholarships are available to first-year students in amounts ranging from $12,000 to $14,000 per year. Admitted students are notified of their eligibility for this scholarship automatically and no separate scholarship application is required.
Concordia College Renewable Grants
The Renewable Grant, valued at $6,000 to $10,000 per year, is given to students who show strong potential for success and contribution to the Concordia community. Admitted students are notified of their eligibility of this scholarship automatically and no separate scholarship application is required.
Scholarship in the Visual Arts
This four-year scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen to recognize excellence in the visual arts and the potential for outstanding artistic contribution to the college community. It is awarded in studio art, graphic design or art history/museum studies. Recipients are expected to declare at least a general art or art history major by the end of their sophomore year.
To be eligible for a Scholarship in the Visual Arts you must be an incoming first-year student accepted for admission to Concordia, have at least a 3.0 grade point average (non-weighted), and exhibit proficiency or intense interest in painting, sculpture, printmaking, drawing, photography, ceramics, graphic design, museum studies or art history.

Music Scholarships
Music Performance Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen in recognition of excellence in music performance. All students - regardless of major - are eligible for the $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year). Scholarships are awarded in piano, voice, guitar, strings, woodwind, brass, percussion and composition. If you are selected as a recipient, you will be expected to enroll in private music lessons and participate in an ensemble in the area of your award.
To be eligible for a Music Performance Scholarship, you must be an incoming first-year or transfer student who has been accepted for admission to Concordia College, have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA (non-weighted), and have exhibited proficiency in vocal, instrumental or piano performance. The initial screening will be based on the Music Scholarship application, two recommendations and an audition recording (or composition portfolio).

Theatre Performance and Production Scholarships
Theatre Performance and Production Scholarships, valued at $10,000 ($2,500 per year), were created to recognize excellence in theatre and the potential for exceptional contributions to the Concordia community. In order to maintain the award, recipients participate at a significant level as cast or crew members in each main stage and lab theatre production during their time as a Concordia theatre scholar.
To be eligible for a Theatre Scholarship, you must be an incoming first-year or transfer student who has been accepted for admission to Concordia College, have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA (non-weighted), and have exhibited proficiency in theatre performance or production. The initial screening will be based on the Theatre Scholarship application, two recommendations and a theatrical resumé.

Speech and Debate Scholarships
In recognition of excellence in Speech or Debate (forensics) and the potential for outstanding contributions to the Concordia community, the college has established Speech and Debate Scholarships valued at $2,500 per year renewable for four years for a total scholarship value of $10,000. Recipients are expected to be a member of either the speech or debate team, both of which are nationally recognized.
To be eligible for a Speech or Debate Scholarship, you must be an incoming first-year or transfer student who has been accepted to Concordia College, have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA (non-weighted), and have exhibited proficiency in speech or debate. The initial screening will be based on the short Speech or Debate Scholarship application, which includes a forensics resumé and brief statement related to your forensics accomplishments. International Student Scholarships
Concordia prizes the contributions international students make on campus and is pleased to provide partial financial assistance to international students. The International Student Scholarship is based on academic ability and family need, amounting up to $18,000 per year. Please complete an application at the time you apply to Concordia, and when you are accepted you will be notified of the award amount. Once awarded, you will receive the same amount each year while you are enrolled.
King Olav V Scholarships
Concordia is proud of its Norwegian heritage and maintains ties with Norway in several ways including a past visit by King Olav V. With the permission of the Norwegian royal family, we are pleased to offer this $10,000 per year scholarship to students from Norway. In addition to this scholarship, substantial assistance is available to Norwegian students from Lånekassen. Together with the scholarship from Concordia, all costs of attendance are covered. All students from Norway automatically receive this award each year and no application is required.
Transfer Student Scholarships
Transfer student scholarships are based on your college GPA and range from $6,000 to $14,000 per year. No separate scholarship application is needed.
- Phi Theta Kappa Honor Scholarship- In recognition of your collegiate academic achievements and eligibility in the Phi Theta Kappa honors program, this $1000 renewable scholarship is offered in addition to your Transfer Student Academic Scholarship from Concordia College.
- Transfer Honor Program Scholarship - In recognition of your collegiate academic achievements and participation in approved two-year college honor programs, this $1,000 renewable scholarship is offered in addition to your Transfer Student Academic Scholarship from Concordia College.
Concordia Congregational Scholarship
These scholarships match congregational scholarships of up to $1,000 per year from a Lutheran congregation and up to $400 per year for all other congregations. Applications are due no later than Aug. 15.
Note: All merit-based scholarships are credited based on full time attendance for each academic semester. The merit-based scholarships are not available during the summer or to students once they have earned a Bachelor's degree. If a student's entire tuition is covered with gift assistance by Concordia, the college will not provide any additional gift assistance, such as matching the Cord Scholarship. All information reflects the 2012-2013 academic year.
